Jeremy and I spent a fantastic weekend in Baltimore - our first getaway since getting married in April. We needed to kill the time before the Tigers/Orioles game so we thought we'd walk around the Inner Harbor. Beautiful area - but not so much in the 90* heat and ridiculous humidity...So we spent a lovely afternoon at the ESPN Zone playing video games, watching the Tour de France, and staying cool!
On Sunday Morning we decided to try out a hole-in-the-wall little place that I found in the Baltimore Sun - Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! There are no more than 8 tables in the whole place - and some parties even sit at the same table due to space issues. We waited for what seemed like days (again, 90* heat and super sweaty humidity) but the wait was totally worth it! Below is a picture of Jeremy indulging in French Toast coated with Fruit Loops! It was the specialof the day - and boy did Jeremy feel special!
Here is a closer look at those fruit loops floating in a sea of cool whip and syrup!
Jeremy read in the morning paper, prior to us finally getting seated, that Blue Moon is known for their cinnamon rolls. HOLY COW. If I had only had the cinnamon roll,I would have died happy! It was AMAZING. We had it as an "appetizer" before our breakfast choices and it was devine! They bake them fresh - when we dove it, it was steamy and warm. Seriously - I think about that cinnamon roll on a regular basis!!
